My new addiction was reading, specially Nicholas Sparks books. found it addictive. Before you watch the movie, I suggest read the book first. When I watched "The Notebook" (which was very heart warming),and that started my new perspective.

I read first the A Walk to Remember. Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan, tale of two different 17 y/o teens who fell in love and never let go.  Then I read The Last Song, Will Blakelee and Ronnie Miller, the story of Summer Love and a Father Daughter relationship. Then The Notebook (The Best Ever), Noah Calhoun and Allie Nelson, story of true love, never ending and ageless. A Bend in a Road, Miles Ryan and Sarah Andrews, tale of forgiveness, love and caring. such a good book. And currently reading Dear John.

Next will be The Lucky One, Message in a Bottle and The Rescue. Can't get enough of you and your novels Mr. Sparks!

Call Me, Maybe?

I first heard this song at Party Pilipinas in on of their GenR8 performances. Catchy music. Love it though. Although I am not that Music Buff these days because of my new addiction reading novels, this song attacked my ear drums and beat right away.

Hey, I Just Met You, and This is Crazy, But Here's My Number, so Call Me Maybe

watch the video. Call the leading man a hottie, then you'll see yourself laughing at the end. Kudos Carly Rae Jepsen!

my new addiction

The Notebook, a film that can make everyone cry. and everyone would love. A novel consists of finding, lost and regained love. and that given me the hint to read a book. I never loved books. I rather watch movie than reading those small letters in bulk pages.

Then i tried to read an E-Book format of A Walk to Remember. (remember Jamie Sullivan and Landon Carter?) I suddenly realized, yep..stories in the book was way differ in the movie. then I started reading them.

Currently, I am reading The Last Song. Notice that Nicholas Sparks is my author to start with. Simply because, I love LOVE stories.

   Think I am maturing:)

say NO TO RACISM.

I am Joanna May C. DIAZ - as you read my surname I know, everybody knows that it is not a Filipino one, but  Spanish. I know it. clearly. My ancestors were spanish, and that would made up my blood have this "foreign magellan blood". But I so love the Philippines, and I know you too.

I lived in this country for about 20 years and counting, and never left. I gained a lot of friends in my 20 years and I even have a friend in school that is Foreign born with american father and filipino mother. Her skin was so fair, even mosquitoes will think twice to bite her soft white skin. She isn't fluent in tagalog but she was trying to talk, to read and communicate with our native language. And I know that's the filipina inside her.

Then I came to love sports and music eventhough I am not an athlete or a musician. I came to love the athletes making names in other countries that were half filipino. Basketball Players, Volleyball Players, Football Players and the likes. I support them because they don't fight for THEIR OWN NAME but they were fighting for the name that is printed in their front, PILIPINAS.

Aren't we that thankful to these people who has foreign blood? they choose to play for the country and for its pride. They do not play for those names at their back. And if they are handsome and pretty, that is a plus factor and it's not their fault.

One reason why Philippines cannot grow as a nation because of crabmentality. Instead of helping each other we tend to look at their differences and pulling these guys down.

I have so many words to say but I just want to make my stand clear. look first at yourself and understand where you came from. Maybe you, yourself is not a 100% pure blooded filipino.

Certified Juan Directioner.

woop! I remember the night I really don't know One Direction, I don't know that they are band. I don't know where they from and the only thing i know is they are always trending on twitter.

Gotta Be You (Director's Cut)

Then my office mate/friend always listen to their song. What Makes You Beautiful. (53 Million views as of today:)). Then I hooked up. I researched, watch their videos, their road to fame, and how they were formed. yes, they didn't audition to X Factor 2010 as a band, they audition individually. I came to like Zayn Malik, first, his eyes, he's half asian and his voice. but as time goes by, i learned to like them all. My day will never be complete without listening to their song.

confession of a notsoGOOD Daughter.

my last post was dated January 14, 2012. 3 days before my father's flight. today, February 06, 2012. Time fly so fast. i had new addictions, new experiences to be noted on my diary, yes I have a diary! and lose someone that I knew was a good choice.

this will start my confession. Last December (I don't know and don't want to remember the date) 2011, I met a guy. Tall, Dark, athletic features, and yes, a nice man, but lot of vices and others i cannot mention. Last week of December, I suddenly fell in. He's so sweet. Yeah, we are so sweet then.

January 23, 2012. Chinese New Year. Monday. 11 pm. Me and my mom had a talk, lasted for 1 hour. Me and my sister had a talk lasted for minutes. Eyes bulging from tears. Air I cannot exhale. Slow heart pumps. Shuttered.

name it, that's me that time. January 24, my filing day at DFA. 6 clients. hundreds of walk in applicants. 7 Liaison Officers and 10+ Government employees. My eyes were still in bulge.

February 03. I call it an end.

It's funny and very nice to know that I will still choose my family before him. I'm 20 years old, and still a baby.
