Emilio "Chieffy" Caligdong
Emelio Asada Caligdong (born 28 September 1982), nicknamed "Chieffy",is a Filipino footballer who plays as a left winger for Philippine Air Force FC and the vice-captain of the Philippines national team. As a player for the Air Force football club, he is an enlisted member of the Philippine Air Force.
LETS FACE IT. Those who doesn't love FOOTBALL and DO NOT know something about the SPORT, thinks that FILIPINOS esp. GIRL fans love the AZKALS because of their faces and flaws. But NO. I begin to love football when I heard about the National Team playing at Myanmar. I began to have a crush on Mr. Del Rosario but i love Mr. Caligdong Football's IQ.
they often compare the AZKALS to other sport because of their fans. Because they are now the apple of the eye of fans. Fans will watch never minding the cost of ticket, and fans LOVE them giving the whole attention.
It hurts for me to see that comment, because I am a fan of the Azkals. Not because of their looks but because of their will.
Back to what happen after the Long Teng Cup, which the Azkals finished at Second, (Last year they were 3rd), Mr. Caligdong, received an award "The Golden Boot", because of he scored the 4/5 aggregate score of the Philippines in the whole Cup.
He was also injured, yet he played. It makes us proud and it could not have gone to a man with greater heart.
Yet, he stays humble and continue answering fans' tweets.
Mr, Chieffy Caligdong, whether he will read this or not, you're "The Man" for me.
